Three females, ages 12, 14 and 15, face attempted armed robbery charges in Brookline

Police say the group also tried to run over a victim with an SUV.

Three female juveniles, aged 12, 14, and 15, are being summoned to court on several serious charges in Brookline, including attempted armed robbery and assault with a dangerous weapon.

Authorities had been searching for a gray SUV wanted in connection with alleged robberies that had happened in Brighton, and a “Be on the lookout” (BOLO) notification for the vehicle had been sent out by Brookline police around 5 a.m. Sunday, Brookline authorities said on Facebook.

The vehicle reportedly crashed into 9 Vernon St. soon after the BOLO was put out, according to Brookline police. Boston and state police had been pursuing the vehicle.

Along with the armed robbery charge, the three will also be summoned for assault with a dangerous weapon – the vehicle. Police say that there were two robbery victims on Harvard Street in Brookline, in addition to “several robberies and attempted robberies in Boston.” The group allegedly tried to run over the second Brookline victim with the vehicle, police said.

The group is also being charged with conspiracy.

Along with the Brookline charges, state police and Boston police are also pursuing charges against the juveniles, Brookline police said. The three were released to their parents. Authorities are continuing to investigate.
