Man suffers life-threatening injuries in Roxbury shooting

A man was reportedly shot in the head during a convenience store robbery in Roxbury Tuesday night.
The victim, who is in his 30s, is a clerk at M&R Store and has only worked there a few months, a woman who lives in the area told Boston 25 News.
According to a Boston police spokesman, a shooting at 718 Shawmut Ave. was reported to authorities around 9:14 p.m.
The man was brought to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, officials said.

Police were on the scene for over five hours interviewing witnesses and searching for evidence, Boston 25 News reports.
“I really feel bad because the kid is such a sweetheart of a kid, you know … He would do anything for you, and if he could help you out he would,” the woman who spoke to the news station said.
According to police, an investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
