A man was shot and injured after he left the Encore Boston Harbor casino early Sunday morning.

Everett police were called around 3 a.m. for a report of a man who had been shot in the area of Sweetser Circle, which is roughly a mile down Broadway from the casino. The man, said to be in his 30s, was taken to a nearby hospital where he was being treated for his injuries, according to a news release from the Middlesex district attorney’s office.

The shooting isn’t thought to be random. No arrests have been made, and the district attorney’s office didn’t name any suspects publicly.

Everett police, the Middlesex district attorney’s office, state police assigned to the district attorney’s office, and Boston police are continuing to investigate.
