A Brockton man was arrested Thursday in connection with a hit-and-run that took the life of a 72-year-old mother of 11 earlier this week.
Michael Blanche, 33, is now facing a slew of charges, including leaving the scene of a crash that caused death, negligent motor vehicle homicide, speeding, failure to yield, and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, according to Plymouth District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz.

The crash, which reportedly occurred around 6:16 p.m. Tuesday near 259 Pleasant St., left Brockton resident Marie Rose Bienaime unresponsive.
Cruz said she was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
State and Brockton police identified Blanche from surveillance taken near the crash site, according to Cruz, and by Thursday morning investigators said they found his green car behind an abandoned residence.
Blanche is scheduled to be arraigned Friday in Brockton District Court.
