A man is being charged with the fatal shooting of another man at a Fall River convenience store, according to the Bristol District Attorney’s Office on Thursday.
The Bristol DA’s office tweeted that Nelson F. Coelho, 37, is being charged with the murder of 54-year-old Lal Kishor Mahaseth. Mahaseth was killed on Oct. 18. at the Fall River Stop N Save convenience store, located at 201 Rock Street.

Mahaseth was found bleeding behind the store counter by a store visitor. He was transported to Charlton Memorial Hospital, and later pronounced dead.
Coelho is already in custody for a separate Oct. 26 armed robbery and The Boston Globe reports he was prescheduled for a dangerousness hearing on Thursday at Fall River District Court.
Due to the new murder charge, Coelho is now scheduled to be arraigned on Monday morning, the Globe reported.
In addition to the murder charge, Coelho is also facing charges of armed and masked robbery, two counts of breaking and entering for a misdemeanor, and two counts of trespassing for the Oct. 26 armed robbery.
