Suspect arrested in connection with New Hampshire stabbing

A man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Manchester, New Hampshire, according to Manchester Police on Sunday.

Johan Geovanny Rosari — an 18-year-old male from Manchester — was arrested for the stabbing of a 32-year-old woman, which took place on Friday.

On Dec. 17, police responded to a call regarding a stabbing behind 168 Merrimack St. around 1:10 a.m. Upon arrival, police found a woman suffering multiple stab wounds and transported her to Elliot Hospital.

The victim’s injuries are considered non-life threatening.

A witness told police she heard screaming and saw a man she described to police as a six-foot-tall Hispanic with a medium build.

The man fled the scene before police arrived, but the witness saw the man run westbound on Monadnock Lane.

Detectives were able to find video footage from surveillance cameras in the area of a man leaving the scene who matched the witness’ description.

After investigating, Detectives located Rosario in the area — who police say matched the suspect’s description — and then attempted to speak with him. The suspect reportedly fled and led police on a foot chase before eventually being taken into custody.

Rosario is being held without bail. He was charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder, Possession of a Controlled Drug, and Resisting Arrest.
