Nomination Letters – Metrowest Medical Center

Brendan Tibbert

I came into the ER in much pain. I was given a room and Brendan was assigned to me. He took such care of me that I thought, deep down, he was a close family member who was truly looking out for my best interest, not some stranger waiting for his shift to be over. In the short time I spent with him, he was on top of all orders. My experience with him set the bar very high for others.

Melissa Levey

While I was being treated for a serious medical condition, I was lucky enough to have Melissa Levey as my nurse. I had a severe reaction to some of the medication I was given, and Melissa responded immediately to get me necessary pain medication, tried several treatments to help alleviate the pain until the meds kicked in, and then simply held my hand until the pain went away. She was calm, kind, and just incredibly warmhearted during my entire stay. It made a difficult experience so much easier.

Susan Granato

Susan demonstrates all the attributes of an outstanding nurse professional. She is very intelligent and shows very good knowledge of health issues. She communicates doctors’ treatment plans clearly and effectively and ensures that I’m informed of even the slightest changes. Susan encourages questions from me and my family and is quite effective in providing answers and, when required, doctors’ replies. She also demonstrates deep compassion toward the patient and family members. Dedicated to her patients and work, she provides a reassuring smile and a good sense of humor. She has gone the extra step to quench my thirst for knowledge regarding health matters and to provide access to the doctor when there’s something I need to discuss. One of my appointments ended at the end of Susan’s work shift. I did not have a ride home and she was kind enough to give me one. I takes a special kind of person to be a nurse day in and day out and Susan is that special kind of person.
