Roz is a nurse practitioner who was volunteering under the medical tent at the finish line of the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013. Instead of seeking safety, she courageously stayed focused under fire and provided needed triage and care to many frightened or wounded athletes and spectators. In spite of facing horrors head-on that most of us only saw on TV, Roz is volunteering at the Boston Marathon again this year. Fearless, strong, kind, smart, and funny, that is my colleague, mentor, and friend, Roz.
