If you work at Boston-based consulting firm Bain & Company, here’s another excuse to brush elbows with your CEO Bob Bechek: he’s the highest-rated CEO in the nation, according to Glassdoor.
Glassdoor, a site that allows employees to review employers and compare salaries, released its annual “50 Highest Rated CEOs” list this week, and three Boston leaders made the 2016 list of large companies.
Bain & Company’s Bob Bechek came in at No. 1 with a 99 percent approval rating from his employees. One employee wrote in a Glassdoor review: “Someone told me before I joined Bain, ‘The best thing about Bain is how Bain runs Bain.’ It’s a world-class organization. I paid attention to how they motivate, train, run teams, and provide feedback. Not perfect – but overall world class.”
Meanwhile, MathWorks’s Jack Little came in at No. 15 with a 95 percent approval, and Kronos Incorporated’s Aron J. Ain took the No. 18 spot with another 95 percent approval rating.
Kronos, a workforce management software and services company based in Chelmsford (but moving soon to Lowell), is consistently ranked as one of the best places to work in Massachusetts.
To compile the list, Glassdoor relied on nearly 2 million anonymous company reviews submitted by employees between May 2015 and May 2016.
Employees were asked whether they approve, disapprove, or hold no opinion of their CEO, and were asked to share their opinion on some of the best reasons to work for their employer and whether there were any downsides.
Reviewers were also encouraged to provide advice to management, rating several factors tied to their employment experience, like sentiment around their CEO’s leadership and overall satisfaction with their employer.
All three companies are hiring across a variety of positions.
