Grant to help update Hampton Beach master plan

The Hampton Beach Area Commission has been awarded a federal grant to study parking and traffic congestion. The $300,000 grant from the Federal Highway Administration’s Transportation, Community, and System Preservation Program will pay for a consultant to update the 10-year-old Hampton Beach master plan. The consultant will review transportation-related infrastructure, including highways and streets that feed traffic toward the beach, sidewalks, and parking, to determine whether they will be adequate for the next 40 years.
