City officials will accept rigid plastics for recycling from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the public works operations facility, 72 Tremont St. In addition to the plastics collection, staff also will collect cathode ray tubes, televisions, monitors, bulbs, tires, items containing mercury, dried latex paint, and white goods, as they do at each Saturday recycling drop-off. Household recycling bins and recycling facility stickers, as well as educational information, also will be available.
