Health departments to hold flu vaccine clinics this fall

The Wakefield, Melrose, and Reading health departments will host several clinics to administer the seasonal flu vaccine. The three communities are scheduled to host eight flu vaccine clinics between Oct. 2 and Nov. 14. Three of the clinics will be held in Reading: from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, at Killam Elementary School, 333 Charles St.; 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, at Reading Town Hall, 16 Lowell St.; and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Coolidge Middle School, 89 Birch Meadow Drive. The vaccine is free for adults over the age of 18 with most health insurance policies. Residents of all communities are welcome at any of the clinics. Those wishing to receive the vaccine are asked to bring their insurance card to the clinic.
