Zoning article covers ‘adult’ businesses

Special Town Meeting will convene Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at King Philip Regional High School. Voters will be asked to decide on a proposed amendment to the town’s zoning bylaws aimed at better assessing establishments used for certain adult entertainment purposes, and would require these establishments to obtain a special permit from the Planning Board. In addition to articles on zoning and personnel bylaws and budget adjustments, the warrant contains an article authorizing police to conduct criminal background checks on individuals selling items door to door, as well as pawnbrokers, ice-cream-truck vendors, and several other occupations.
To view the full warrant, visit the town’s website, www.wrentham.ma.us
