Westford teen injured jumping into empty pool

A decision by two young Westford women to go pool hopping landed one in the hospital after she jumped into an empty pool, police said. Emergency crews were called to a house early Monday for a report of an unconscious but breathing woman in the pool, which is under repair. Jane Gallagher told WBZ-TV that her daughter Kelsey, 18, suffered a spinal injury, a fractured skull, and a broken wrist when she jumped into the in-ground pool, which has a fence around it. Police are considering trespassing charges.
