New Hampshire’s attorney general’s office is investigating the death of a woman who had been involved in a police chase on Interstate 93 and was fatally shot by a state trooper in Manchester. WMUR-TV reported that police said the shooting happened shortly after 6:30 p.m. Monday, when the woman tried to ram a State Police trooper and the trooper opened fire. No officers were injured. The woman had led police on a chase that started on Interstate 89 in Bow and went south 12 miles, police said. Senior Assistant Attorney General Jeff Strelzin said the woman would be identified once an autopsy is completed and relatives are notified.
