People take to Twitter to express condolences for Boston Fire Department

Two Boston firefighters were killed in the line of duty on Wednesday as they worked to put out a 9-alarm blaze in a building on Beacon Street in Back Bay. After hearing the news, many local officals, organizations, and businesses took to Twitter to express their respect and admiration for the work Boston’s firefighters did, and to express their condolences for the department’s loss.

The news even spread as far as Iowa and North Carolina, where two fire departments sent their condolences from afar.
