1 person taken to hospital after medical emergency at Boston police academy

One person was transported to the hospital after a medical emergency at the Boston Police Academy in Hyde Park this afternoon, police said.

The emergency was reported at the Williams Avenue facility at 12:50 p.m., according to Officer Neva Coakley, a police spokeswoman.

The person, who has not been identified, was transported to Boston Medical Center, said Boston EMS spokesman Nick Martin.

A person who answered the phone at the academy said they had no comment and hung up.

No information was immediately available on the person’s condition.
