Beginning today, you’ll notice a few more smiling faces as you enter Boston’s City Hall.

Mayor Martin J. Walsh and the City of Boston are introducing City Hall’s greeter pilot program with the goal of making City Hall a more welcoming and helpful place for visitors and residents.

The greeter program will be comprised of Northeastern University students in the school’s student work co-op program. The students are also an integral part of the Mayor’s 24-hour Constituent Service..

Decked out in red vests, each of the greeters will have iPads featuring maps and other additional information to help with any questions visitors may have.
