An estimated 40,000 participants and 2,000 volunteers took part in Sunday’s Walk for Hunger. Project Bread’s annual charity walk has become a fixture in Boston’s Spring calendar since its inception in 1969. Over the years, the walk has raised over $100 million through contributions, according to the Project Bread website.
On Sunday, walkers and supporters alike filled social media with inspiring messages from the 20-mile route.
