Sharon Police, Firefighters Make Way for Ducklings

Readers, your daily dose of cute: A group of ducklings is safely back in the care of their mother after the quick work of Sharon first responders Saturday morning.

Resident Christine Markt called police after she saw a group of ducklings stuck in a storm drain, along with their distressed mother who helplessly quacked from the street.

Sharon Police Officers Adam Leavitt and Michael Balestra were able to save 9 out of the 10 ducklings, and retrieved the tenth with backup from Firefighter John Guiod.

“All left with Mom and headed happily back towards the lake,’’ the department’s Facebook page reported.
