Bicyclist Flown to Hospital After Collision With School Bus in Wilmington

A bicyclist had to be flown to an area hospital after the rider was hit by a school bus in Wilmington on Wednesday morning.

The Boston Globe reported that the bicyclist sustained serious injuries at approximately 8 a.m. after the accident near Woburn Street and Tracy Circle.

WCVB reported that the bus was headed to Woburn Street Elementary School at the time of the accident and had eight students on board. The report added that the students were brought to school and their parents were informed about the incident.

No other injuries were reported, and the accident remains under investigation.
