A 22-year-old former youth counselor is being accused of sexually assaulting and raping a 14-year-old girl inside the Brockton Boys & Girls club in incidents dating back to early 2013.
The Brockton Enterprise reported that Chris Policard pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to two counts of aggravated rape and two counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 after authorities say he had inappropriate sexual contact with the victim during incidents in February and September of last year.
From The Enterprise:
Policard was originally indicted on May 30 and at that point was fired from his part-time position at the Boys & Girls Club. He had been suspended without pay prior to the indictment.
According to the report, Policard was ordered held “on $75,000 with surety or $7,500 cash bail.’’ He was also instructed to stay away from the victim, children under the age of 16, and the Boys & Girls Club. His next hearing is scheduled for July 14.
