Boston Globe: Teen Girl Facing Charges Over Middle School Bomb Threat

Milford Police plan to charge a 14-year-old girl with making a bomb threat to a middle school. Police said the threat was overhead by a teacher at the school, according to The Boston Globe:

A teacher at Middle School East told the administration just before 2 p.m. on Monday that the student made a comment about bombing the school, [Milford School Superintendent Robert] Tremblay said. According to Tremblay, the teacher overheard the remark and it did not seem to be a direct threat. Classes were not interrupted.

“The point to be made here is, just like you wouldn’t yell fire in a crowded theater, you can’t make a comment like that and not expect there to be consequences,’’ Tremblay said in a phone interview Tuesday night.
