Police: Suspect Climbed Fire Escape in Fatal East Boston Shooting

Boston Police confirmed they are investigating a Sunday shooting in East Boston.

According to police, they were called for a well-being check at 232 Brandywine Drive:

On arrival, officers observed a male inside the location suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds. The victim, a male in his mid-thirties, was pronounced deceased on the scene.

WCVB reported that police believe the shooter climbed the fire escape and broke through a window before killing the man. The report added that investigators do not think the shooting was random.

Earlier on Sunday, Boston police responded to a reported shooting outside a South End party. The victim in that case was taken to Boston Medical Center for treatment.
