Three people were reportedly hurt just before 11 p.m. Friday night when their vehicle crashed outside a Main Street fire station in Charlestown.

Jaws of life were reportedly employed to remove at least one passenger trapped in the vehicle.

WHDH reported “several ambulances’’ were seen leaving the scene, though the TV station said that no official word on the status of the passengers was immediately available early Saturday morning.

One witness described a vehicle as having been “smashed to pieces.’’
