Fire Breaks Out in Basement of Jamaica Plain Home

Multiple fire trucks responded to a home on Carolina Avenue in Jamaica Plain Saturday morning following reports of a water heater explosion in the home, according to the Boston Fire Department.

A fire had started in the crawl space of the basement where workers were in the process of insulating the walls. Boston Fire reports the fire has been knocked out.

Three workers and one firefighter were hospitalized. Two of the workers suffered burns.
