2-alarm fire heavily damages Fall River home

A two-alarm fire severely damaged a multifamily home in Fall River early Friday morning, officials said.

The Fall River Fire Department responded to Robeson Street at 2:29 a.m., said Fall River Police Detective J.D. Costa.

It appeared no one was injured in the blaze, said fire Deputy Chief William Joaquim.

“It’s going to have to come down today,’’ said Joaquim of the home. It was not clear how many people were displaced.

The cause of the fire was not clear. It is being investigated by Fall River police and fire, and State Fire Marshal Stephen D. Coan.
