A man and a woman were apparently shot by mistake when a physical altercation started shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday near Revere Beach, according to reports.
A fist fight reportedly erupted on a sidewalk outside of a nightclub at 320 Revere Beach Boulevard before escalating to out-of-control levels when gunshots rang out.
A spokesman for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office told The Boston Globe that it appeared the victims — a 33-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman — were innocent bystanders.
Both victims were taken to Mass. General Hospital with non life-threatening gunshot wounds. Police have not yet made an arrest in the incident and are expected to review surveillance video of the shooting.
