It might be time to stop our complaining about Boston summers. It won’t be long until the North End starts to feel like Miami Beach, according to Climate Central’s Blistering Future Summers interactive, embeded below.
The average summer temperature in Boston is projected to jump from around 79 degrees to 89 degrees by 2100, making it feel more like North Miami Beach. The average increase across the country is projected to be between 7-10 degrees, according to the study.
The study kept its projections to daytime summer heat and did not account for humidity, which would make the summers of the 22nd century even more unbearable.
