Search for Gunman in Arboretum Comes Up Empty

There was a short but intense search for a rifleman inside Boston’s Arnold Arboretum late Tuesday morning. Boston Police called for a Massachusetts State Police helicopter to help in the search, according to reports.

Police told Jamaica Plain News that the search came up empty. An Arboretum official praised police for their quick response.

“The good news is police were highly responsive,’’ said Harvard University Tree Museum spokesperson Jon Hetman to Jamaica Plain News.
