Men Charged in Ice Cream Truck Kidnapping

Two brothers have been charged with kidnapping after allegedly pulling a man out of his ice cream truck, threatening and driving him around for several hours over an outstanding debt, The Patriot Ledger reports.

Enoel Perez-Santos, 42, of Fall River and Orlando Perez-Santos, 47, of Bridgewater were reportedly held on $10,000 bail each and pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Orlando Perez-Santos drove up behind the ice cream truck in a gray Ford Mustang, boxing the vehicle in, court records show.

The two brothers got out of their vehicles and began banging on the windows of the ice cream truck and demanded the victim get out or Enoel Perez-Santos was going to “beat his (expletive),’’ court records show.

Witnesses told police Enoel Perez-Santos grabbed the man, slammed him into the side of the truck and forced him into the Suburban. The victim told police Enoel Perez-Santos said he would “knock him out’’ if he attempted to flee or scream.

The men reportedly demanded the victim retrieve a handgun belonging to his father in exchange for his freedom. After the victim surrendered the gun, police said his mother called 911.
