One person was stabbed in Providence today outside The Coffee Exchange, a cafe near Brown University that recently served as a filming location for a new Woody Allen movie, The Providence Journal reports.
Osama Said, 38, of Cranston allegedly stabbed Daniel Nichols, 39, in the chest. The Journal reports Nichols was helped by an employee of the coffee shop, who held a towel to his wound until first responders arrived at the Wickenden Street business around 11 a.m..
Said was arrested and faces charges of assault with a dangerous weapon.
The victim’s condition has not been released, but a Johnston Police Major told the Journal that the stab wound is not believed to be life-threatening.
