1 Firefighter Hospitalized, Residents Safe After 5-Alarm Chelsea Fire

Firefighters sounded five alarms while fighting a fire on Arlington Street in Chelsea Sunday.

As many as six homes were reportedly engulfed on the street’s 200 block, which started just after 2 p.m.

Fire officials told WCVB that everyone in the building — including a cat named Smokey — were able to escape the building safely.

One firefighter was reportedly taken to the hospital with smoke inhalation injuries.
