Here’s how folks celebrated Allston Christmas last year

Merry? Happy? Feliz? Joyeux Allston Christmas?

I don’t think so.

As expected, it’s hoarders’ heaven and purgers’ nightmare out there as students move in for the start of the new school year.

The only sleighs you’ll see are too big to fit on Storrow Drive (though some don’t get it) and gifts are most likely to be found next to a trash barrel than under a tree. The elves are still on vacation — they’ve sent bed bugs in their stead.

Here’s a glimpse of what’s shaking out there.
