Firefighters used jaws of life, hydraulic rams and other tools to rescue a man trapped in a Bobcat loader crushed under a dump truck at a Dorchester construction site just after noon Thursday.
The victim was operating the machine as part of a repaving project near 393 Adams St.
The worker, who was not named by rescue officials, was taken to an area hospital for treatment after the careful operation.
The Boston Globe reports that the truck’s front axle trapped the victim by his lower extremities, though the cause of the collision was not immediately clear.
Both Boston Police and OSHA inspectors will investigate the circumstances of the accident.
