Police are investigating the death of a two-year-old Kingston girl in a Pembroke home Sunday afternoon.
Pembroke police and firefighters responded to the home around 4 p.m. after receiving reports of an unresponsive child, the Patriot Ledger reports. The girl was later pronounced dead at an area hospital.
The Plymouth District Attorney’s office is handling the investigation.
“Autopsy results are pending at this time, and the manner of death is under investigation by Pembroke and State Police assigned to the district attorney’s office,’’ Plymouth County Assistant District Attorney Bridget Norton Middleton told the paper.
The identity of the victim was not released by authorities.
