An on-going feud between two Arlington neighbors in their early 60s got out of hand during Tuesday’s blizzard when one of the women allegedly attacked the other with a snow blower, Arlington police reported.
Arlington police responded to a reported assault at 124 Park Ave., where they found a 60-year-old woman with cuts to her foot.
The injured woman, whose name was not released, had taken out a harassment protection order against her neighbor, Barbara Davis, 61. Davis was arrested for violation of the order and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
That weapon was Davis’s handheld snow blower, Arlington Police Chief Frederick Ryan said in an e-mailed statement.
“Emotions may run high during a historic weather event like the Blizzard we just endured, but that is no excuse for violence,’’ Chief Ryan said. “We are supposed to come together as a community during events like this, and I am very disappointed with these allegations.’’
Davis was held on $35,000 bail and the victim was treated for minor injuries.
