Former Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick is going to have a tough act to follow when he gives Harvard’s 364th commencement address on May 28.

The university announced this week alumna and Academy Award-winning actress Natalie Portman will give the Class Day speech the day before.

Portman, who graduated from the college in 2003, took home the “Best Actress’’ Oscar for her portrayal of Nina Sayers, aka “The Swan Queen,’’ in 2010’s Black Swan. In addition to her movie roles (V for Vendetta, Star Wars, and Léon: The Professional to name a few), Portman is also involved in philanthropic and humanitarian causes.

Past Class Day speakers range from Coretta Scott King, Mother Teresa, and Bill Clinton, to Will Ferrell, Amy Poehler, and Ali G.
