It’s not a Storrowing, but this isn’t much better.
As many Sept. 1 tenants moved in to new apartments Tuesday, a Budget rental truck found a new way to back up Boston travelers.
A little after 11:30 a.m., the moving truck got stuck on the Green Line’s B branch near Packards Corner (what some might call the epicenter of Allston Christmas), MBTA spokesman Joe Pesaturo told Boston.com, causing “moderate westbound delays’’ and at least one late El Pelón Taqueria employee.
Pesaturo said the truck was cleared by noon and “following some residual delays’’ regularly scheduled service on the line resumed around 1:30 p.m.
There was no explanation for how the vehicle got stuck on the tracks.
“Apparently, one does not have to be a Mensa member to rent a moving truck,’’ Pesaturo said.
