Brookline resident attempts to turn in grenade at police station; bomb squad called in

The lobby of the Brookline police station was temporarily closed Monday afternoon after a resident arrived to drop off a hand grenade they found in their home, according to police.

Members of the Boston Police Department’s bomb squad were called to the scene, police said.
