Gov. Baker read Dr. Seuss to North Andover elementary schoolers today

Celebrating Read Across America Day, the Governor read “Green Eggs and Ham.’’

Gov. Charlie Baker stopped by Kittredge Elementary School in North Andover today, celebrating Read Across America Day. Sponsored by the National Education Association, Read Across America Day honors Dr. Seuss—born 112 years ago today in Springfield.

Baker read Green Eggs and Ham to a gymnasium full of elementary schoolers, sharing with them his own feelings about the author.

“The whole idea of repetition, that whole idea of creating a story that a kid can grab onto and follow through with pretty quickly—just brilliant stuff,’’ Baker said.
