FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) — Three people were hospitalized and two people were arrested following a brawl in a Massachusetts pet store police say was prompted by an argument over proper reptile care.

The Herald-News reports that James Dugan-Weeks, and his brother, Allen Weeks, were held without bail after pleading not guilty to assault and kidnapping charges Monday, pending a hearing to determine whether they are dangerous on Thursday.

Prosecutors say the fight started Saturday morning when Dugan-Weeks, a volunteer worker at Jurassic Jungle in Fall River, and another man were arguing over reptile care. That man says he was attacked by the brothers, who also allegedly assaulted two other people, including a woman, who tried to intervene.

Attorneys for the brothers pointed to their clients’ injuries and questioned witness accounts of events.
