Elderly woman in wheelchair struck in Cambridge hit-and-run has died

An elderly woman in a wheelchair who was struck by a car in Cambridge last month has died, according to the Middlesex District Attorney’s office.

Dorothy Steele, 77, of Cambridge, was hit by a car while crossing Columbia Street near Lincoln Street in her wheelchair, according to police. She was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital where she later died.

Police identified the driver of the car as Henry Park, 62, of Somerville. He has now been charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury causing death, according to the DA’s office.
