Shooting at Boston house party kills 1 man, wounds another

BOSTON (AP) — A shooting at a Boston house party has left one man dead and another man wounded.

Lt. Michael McCarthy says officers responded to reports of shots fired at a residence in the city’s Roxbury neighborhood at around 3 a.m. Monday.

A 28-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities say he had been known to police.

Police found the second victim nearby with a gunshot wound to his ankle. The injury was determined to be non-life-threatening.

Police say several firearms were recovered. People inside a vehicle stopped close to the scene were questioned by investigators.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
