Train derails in Tewksbury

Four train cars containing carbon dioxide derailed in Tewksbury Friday morning.

Tewksbury Fire Captain Jim Bruce said the cars did not tip over and there is no immediate public risk. He said the incident occurred around 11:30 a.m. and no one was injured.

A regional hazmat team has responded to the scene near 1616 Shawsheen St. and the cause is under investigation.
