State police investigating report of laser pointed at Logan-bound plane

The crew aboard a Logan Airport-bound plane reported seeing the flash of a green laser Sunday night just before the plane landed, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

Air Canada Flight 368 was about 3,000 feet in the air and 10 miles northeast of the airport when the laser was pointed into the cockpit, officials said. The plane, which departed Toronto Pearson International Airport, landed safely just after 10:40 p.m.

Federal law prohibits aiming lasers at aircraft. Massachusetts State Police are investigating the incident.
