Boston University police are asking for the public’s help to identify a suspect who posted racist and neo-Nazi fliers around the campus.

Last weekend, students spotted one poster that read “Black Lives Don’t Matter” and another with a drawing of Paul Revere that read “The Nazis are coming! The Nazis are coming!”

University police released a video of the suspect Thursday, which shows someone in dark clothing taping a flier to the doors of the Yawkey Center for Student Services on Bay State Road. Police said additional posters were found near the CVS on Comm. Ave. and the nearby Engineering Product Innovation Center.

In a Tuesday email to the BU community, university president Robert Brown said he felt “heartsick that our community has to experience the hatefulness displayed by the individual or individuals who posted this material.”

BU police ask that anyone with information about the suspect, who would face charges of defacing private property, contact officers at 617-353-3436 or email the department at [email protected]
