McDonald’s comes back at Sav-Mor in a sign duel

Sav Mor and McDonald’s are in the midst of an egg-cellent sign battle.

The Somerville liquor store, known for posting slogans and witty sayings on its billboard, made a playful joke aimed at the nearby McDonald’s Egg Muffin deal Thursday, according to The Boston Globe.

Sav-Mor offered their own breakfast deal, beating the chain’s offer—which isn’t much of an offer because the store doesn’t actually serve breakfast.

“Your move, McDonalds,” the sign challenged.

McDonalds got in on the joke Friday, clowning around with a message of its own.

Your move, Sav-Mor.
