Police: Woman upset over pizza shop prices throws sign, hits 11-year-old girl
An Ashland woman was arrested Wednesday after police say she hit a young girl with a metal sign when she became upset over having to pay more than expected on a pizza deal.
Iesha Davis, 36, was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and arraigned Thursday in Framingham District Court, according to Framingham police.
Police said Davis called in a pizza order Wednesday to Framingham Sub Shop & Pizza restaurant on Concord Street.
When Davis arrived to pick up her pizza, police said she insisted chicken be added to her order. Police say Davis became angry when the employee informed her the added chicken was not included in the advertised $17.99 deal and would cost extra.
The employee told police Davis began screaming and swearing in front of several children in the shop, and was asked to stop because she was scaring them. In response, police said Davis then threw a sign showing the advertised deal, hitting the employee’s 11-year-old daughter in the face.
Police said Davis left the restaurant before officers arrived on scene. Ashland police later found and arrested her at her home.
Davis was released on $100 bail Wednesday, and told to stay away from the restaurant until her July 15 court date.
