Human skull found in Everett
Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding a human skull that was found in Everett Thursday morning, according to the Middlesex District Attorney’s office.
The skull was discovered around 11 a.m. on a Rover Street property owned by National Grid, authorities said. An initial forensic investigation determined that the skull was human and had likely been exposed to the elements for at least a year, according to the DA’s office.
Authorities are continuing to search the area and have taken the skull to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where further testing will be conducted in attempt to determine the gender and age of the deceased.
